Salary Range: $110,000–$150,000 + commission + superannuation

Continued growth within the Brisbane operation has created an opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to support expansion across multiple service lines.


ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Queensland State Manager, this role is responsible for driving new business growth across air freight, sea freight and contract logistics, while developing strong, long-term customer relationships.

  • Identify, prospect and secure new customers across targeted industry sectors
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, converting opportunities into sustainable revenue
  • Develop and implement trade lane and solution-based sales strategies
  • Collaborate with product, procurement and overseas offices to align commercial offerings
  • Prepare, present and negotiate tenders, RFQs and commercial proposals
  • Maintain regular customer engagement, responding to enquiries and managing relationships
  • Represent the business at industry events, networking functions and client meetings
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales and performance reporting
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to support growth initiatives


PREFERRED CANDIDATES

  • Proven experience in business development within freight forwarding or international logistics
  • Demonstrated success in winning new business and achieving sales targets
  • Strong understanding of air freight, sea freight and integrated logistics solutions
  • Commercially astute with a strategic, solution-oriented sales approach
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, resilient and comfortable operating with autonomy
  • Experience working with CRM systems and structured sales reporting
