Role Summary

The Air Export Coordinator will manage the full cycle of international air export shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and on-time departures. This role is ideal for a proactive logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end air export shipments from booking through final departure
  • Arrange airline bookings, routing, and consolidations
  • Prepare and review export documentation (HAWB/MAWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, AES/EEI filings, certificates of origin, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations (EAR, ITAR where applicable)
  • Track shipments and provide proactive updates to customers
  • Coordinate cargo pickup, handling, and airport transfers
  • Communicate with airlines, ground handlers, truckers, overseas agents, and customers
  • Resolve shipment issues, delays, and exceptions
  • Maintain accurate records in freight management systems
  • Support billing and file closing processes


Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in air export operations within a freight forwarding environment
  • Strong knowledge of air export documentation and compliance
  • Experience with AES/EEI filings
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Proficiency in freight forwarding systems and MS Office


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CargoWise or similar forwarding systems
  • Experience handling time-sensitive and high-value shipments
  • Multilingual abilities a plus
