Role Summary
The Air Export Coordinator will manage the full cycle of international air export shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and on-time departures. This role is ideal for a proactive logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end air export shipments from booking through final departure
- Arrange airline bookings, routing, and consolidations
- Prepare and review export documentation (HAWB/MAWB, commercial invoices, packing lists, AES/EEI filings, certificates of origin, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations (EAR, ITAR where applicable)
- Track shipments and provide proactive updates to customers
- Coordinate cargo pickup, handling, and airport transfers
- Communicate with airlines, ground handlers, truckers, overseas agents, and customers
- Resolve shipment issues, delays, and exceptions
- Maintain accurate records in freight management systems
- Support billing and file closing processes
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in air export operations within a freight forwarding environment
- Strong knowledge of air export documentation and compliance
- Experience with AES/EEI filings
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency in freight forwarding systems and MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CargoWise or similar forwarding systems
- Experience handling time-sensitive and high-value shipments
- Multilingual abilities a plus
