Position Title: Business Development Manager

Salary Range: $120,000–$140,000 + commission + superannuation

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
This role is responsible for driving new business growth across air and ocean freight services within the Queensland market.
- Identify, prospect and secure new business opportunities across targeted industry sectors
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, converting opportunities into sustainable revenue
- Develop tailored logistics solutions across air freight, ocean freight and specialist services
- Leverage strong carrier relationships to deliver competitive and time-critical solutions
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations and service solutions to prospective clients
- Maintain regular engagement with customers to support retention and growth
- Collaborate closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure service delivery
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide structured sales reporting
PREFERRED CANDIDATES
- Proven experience in business development within freight forwarding or international logistics
- Strong understanding of air and ocean freight markets
- Demonstrated ability to win new business and build long-term client relationships
- Commercially driven with strong negotiation and communication skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable operating with autonomy
