We're working with a growing logistics and freight forwarding business, who are hiring an Export Department Manager in the Los Angeles area. You'd run the export function end to end - the team, the service and the numbers.
- Leading, mentoring and motivating the export team, including remote staff
- Managing workload distribution and setting measurable performance goals
- Reporting departmental results to leadership and running weekly team meetings
- Owning the movement and routing of intermodal air and ocean exports
- Acting as senior contact for internal and external customers
- Ensuring compliance with ITAR and related export regulations, including AES filing audits
- Leading problem resolution and stepping in hands-on where service is at risk
- Seven or more years in freight forwarding export operations
- Proven experience leading an operational team; CargoWise strongly preferred
