We're recruiting for an established international forwarder, hiring a Freight Forwarder in the Detroit area. It's a full A-Z role across ocean and air, with real ownership of your own shipments.
- Overseeing the process from port arrival through to final delivery
- Coordinating carriers, customs brokers and trucking partners
- Monitoring and tracking shipments, keeping customers updated
- Preparing customs documentation - commercial invoices, bills of lading
- Ensuring compliance with customs regulations and international trade law
- Building strong customer relationships through consistent service
- Previous freight forwarding experience preferred; export operations an advantage
- Strong organisation, accuracy and comfort in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent English; freight forwarding software experience preferred
