Position: Business Development Manager – Project Logistics

Arrangements: Full-time
Territory: Australia - East Coast
Salary Range: $120,000–$180,000 + superannuation + commission.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the National Head of Projects, this role is responsible for driving new business growth across the project logistics portfolio, with a focus on securing complex, high-value freight opportunities.
- Identify, target, and win new business opportunities across project logistics sectors including energy, mining, infrastructure, and industrial projects
- Develop relationships with EPCs, OEMs, contractors, and project owners across Queensland and nationally
- Lead RFQ and tender submissions, including solution design, pricing strategy, and commercial negotiations
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to develop technically sound and commercially viable logistics solutions
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of project opportunities, aligned with market activity and upcoming developments
- Manage the full sales lifecycle from initial engagement through to project award and handover
- Grow and retain key accounts, increasing revenue and share of wallet
- Maintain accurate reporting of pipeline activity, forecasts, and client engagement
PREFERRED CANDIDATES:
- Proven experience in business development within freight forwarding or project logistics
- Strong understanding of oversized, heavy lift, breakbulk, and complex multimodal transport solutions
- Established network within EPCs, OEMs, or major contractors in Queensland or Australia
- Experience managing tenders and securing large-scale logistics contracts
- Commercially driven with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to engage both technically and commercially with clients and internal teams
