We are looking for an experienced Air & Ocean Import Agent to join a globally established freight forwarder in Atlanta. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing import shipments from arrival through to final delivery, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently and customers receive a high level of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage air and ocean import shipments from arrival through to final delivery.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, hauliers, overseas agents, and customers.
- Prepare and process import documentation and customs clearance requirements.
- Track shipments and provide customers with regular updates.
- Arrange deliveries and coordinate with transport providers.
- Ensure all shipments comply with customs and import regulations.
- Resolve operational issues and delays promptly.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure deadlines are met.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in air and ocean freight forwarding, preferably in imports.
- Good knowledge of import procedures, customs, and freight documentation.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- CargoWise experience is required
Salary: Up to $70,000 per year
