We’re recruiting for a large global forwarder looking for an Air Export Manager to lead its export team. You’ll own the day-to-day performance of the department: service quality, carrier relationships and margin. You’ll also develop a team of experienced operators. It’s a hands-on leadership role in a busy branch, with real scope to shape how the desk runs and room to grow within a network that covers more than 80 countries.
- Lead, coach and develop the air export team, including recruitment, training and performance reviews
- Own the export operation end to end: bookings, documentation, consolidations and cut-offs
- Build and manage relationships with airlines and GSAs, negotiating space and rates
- Keep KPIs, service levels and margins on track, and report on them to branch management
- Work with sales and key accounts to win, onboard and keep customers
- Make sure the team complies with TSA, dangerous goods and export control rules
- You’ll bring: at least 5 years in air export operations, including time leading a team, plus strong carrier knowledge and experience of CargoWise
