Summary
Full responsibility for a branch of around 50 people, covering air and ocean freight with a supporting customs brokerage function. The role combines commercial growth, team leadership and financial management. It needs someone who can set direction and stay close to the operation and the customers.

Duties and responsibilities
- Grow the branch by winning new customers and protecting and developing existing accounts
- Visit key clients regularly to identify further opportunities
- Oversee day to day branch operations across air, ocean and CHB, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards
- Use the financial reporting to manage cash flow, improve yield and control costs
- Drive profitable growth through both revenue and operational efficiency
- Develop and implement strategies to keep the branch competitive in the local market
- Use market intelligence to adjust how the branch operates
- Work with senior leadership to align branch performance with wider company objectives
- Set the tone on integrity, transparency and honest feedback
- Travel as required
Supervisory responsibilities
- Hire, train and develop a high-performing team
- Build a culture of open dialogue and constructive feedback
- Integrate new hires properly and support their development
- Recognise strong performers and create progression for the wider team
Education and experience
- Degree in business, logistics, supply chain or a related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive freight forwarding experience, or 10 years of equivalent experience
- Track record of branch, station or department leadership with genuine P&L accountability
