Salary Range: $75,000 to $100,000 + superannuation (reflective of experience)

Global freight forwarder with a specialist Australian projects team, managing end-to-end delivery of general, oversized and heavy lift cargo. Takes a holistic, hands-on approach, with every shipment owned from quote through to delivery.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Sitting within a specialist projects team, this role owns import and export freight for project sites from quote through to delivery. Office-based, with no travel required.

  • Manage import and export shipments of general cargo for project sites across FCL, LCL, airfreight and road
  • Respond to enquiries from new and existing clients, sourcing rates from shipping lines, airlines and overseas offices
  • Prepare quotations for clients, prospects and overseas or interstate offices, building an understanding of how project pricing is compiled
  • Liaise with carriers, customs and internal operations teams on project shipments
  • Track shipments and provide status reports, communicating delays and issues promptly to clients and overseas offices
  • Develop client SOPs and ensure vendors are pre-qualified and audited annually
PREFERRED CANDIDATES:
  • Freight forwarding operations background with rounded experience across import and export, sea and air
  • Good knowledge of carriers, shipping lines and major ports around the world
  • Experience with CargoWise is highly regarded
  • Project cargo experience is not essential; open to strong forwarding operators wanting to move into project logistics
  • Trainable and invested in the outcome, keen to learn and grow within projects
  • Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain or International Business is advantageous
