Business Development Manager - Chicago

Our client, a mid-sized global forwarder, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team in Chicago. This position can also be based in Indiana, Iowa, or Missouri. If you have a proven track record in sales, a book of business, and a passion for the logistics industry, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Job Description:

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to drive business growth
  • Identify and target potential clients to expand the company's customer base
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and delivery of services
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads and convert them into profitable business opportunities
  • Meet and exceed sales targets on a regular basis
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to clients
  • Negotiate and close sales contracts
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the sales process
